How do I manage my projects?

Once you create a project, your Project Dashboard allows you to manage every aspect of your project: you can modify your requirements, screen all candidates, reject the ones you don't like, access our messaging tool to negotiate and eventually hire your favourite. You can also track the advances on the project and all payments. Finally you will be able to rate the provider you hired.

Can I ask the provider questions during the process?

Once providers make a proposal on your project you can start contacting them using our messaging tool.

How can I pay the providers I hire?

Our Safe payment system allows you to handle all payments securely. Using PayPal or Wire Transfer, you will be able to deposit payments on our system and release them once the provider delivers. You will be able to create as many milestones as you need to separate all payments. Your Project Dashboard includes a tool for managing the payment process easily and efficiently. You will be in charge to deposit and release all payments.

How do I hire a provider through the Safe payment system?

Once you find the ideal candidate, you will be able to press the 'Hire' button. After that, you will be asked to fill in an agreement with the total agreed budget, the first payment or advance you will be making and additional comments. Once you submit that, you will be asked to deposit the advance. The provider will then be able to accept the agreement.

What is the advance and when should I pay it?

All projects will be kicked off with a first payment deposit. This payment will be deposited on our Safe payment system. Once the provider has accepted the agreement you can choose to release that payment strictly upfront or link it to an initial delivery by the provider. Choosing to release a payment upfront is for your and the provider to negotiate.

What happens if things go wrong with a provider?

AppFutura offers a resolution procedure in which Project Owner and provider can expose their arguments. AppFutura may take actions as long as there are payments deposited on the Safe payment system. If there are no payments deposited, AppFutura has no leverage.

If the discrepancy is not resolved, the Project Owner may choose to cancel the project and give a negative rating to the provider. The Project Owner may get a refund of the still deposited amounts on AppFutura or reuse those with a new candidate. All previously released payments are out of AppFutura control and it is up to the Project Owner and the provider to resolve its refund

What should I include in my project request?

Your project request should be as detailed as possible so providers can make realistic proposals. If you are not sure about how to make an appropriate project request, you can email us and we will help you shape your project.

How do I know which proposals are good or bad?

Note that providers make initial development proposals based on the short description you provide. Once they make this proposal, you should get in touch with them and negotiate so they understand the scope of the project and can give you a final and detailed proposal. You can also visit their AppFutura profile for further information about them.

I'm worried about confidentiality. What are my options?

You project description should include the main features of the project or mention a similar already existing example so providers understand the amount of work it requires. When providers make proposals, they digitally accept a NDA. This is aimed to protect your intellectual property and make sure the code eventually provided is 100% yours. Moreover, once you start using our messaging tool to get in touch with providers, you can share your own confidentiality documents if you wish.

What are my rights as a Project Owner on AppFutura?

Posting your IT or Marketing project on AppFutura is a great way to ensure your project advances smoothly. All Project Owner's intellectual property will be safeguarded by a digital NDA within the AppFutura Safe payment system, as well as the property of the files and source code that can be associated with the project. AppFutura can also provide technical assistance prior to the start of the any hiring if needed.

Who will have rights over the source code of my app or software development project?

The source code of projects created through the AppFutura Safe payment system will be property of the Project Owner. The Project Owner has the right to request the latest updated source code at any point of the development process and the provider must deliver it. In any case, the provider will deliver the final source code when the project is completed.

How do I make proposals for projects?

Only sponsors can make proposals on projects posted on the AppFutura project dashboard. Based on the descriptions provided, you will have to make an initial development proposal. Once you do that, you will be able to negotiate with the Project Owner, understand the scope of the project and give a final quote. Once the client has found a proposal that meets their expectations, hiring can take place.

Can I ask the client questions before making an offer?

No. You have to make your initial proposal first. You will be able to message the client directly after the initial proposal and start negotiating. After this process, you will be able to make a final proposal.

What information should I include in the proposals I submit to clients?

As a sponsor, you will be able to include a comment and message the client directly. You should take this chance to present your company and share your initial understanding of the project.

How much does it cost to use the AppFutura safe payment system?

There is a commission on projects awarded through our safe payment system that changes depending your level of sponsorship (7% Silver, Gold and Platinum; 10% for Bronze and 15% for Regular user).

How do I get paid for the jobs I’m hired for?

Our Safe payment system allows for you and the client to divide the project in as many milestones as you need. Project Owners should deposit payments for a milestone before you start working on it. After you work and deliver the milestone, the client will release the payment, which will go to your balance on AppFutura.

What do I do with my AppFutura balance?

Your balance on AppFutura can be used to purchase new sponsorships and services with an added discount or withdrawn to the PayPal or Bank Account of your choice.

providers will have the chance to make proposals on many projects every month. If hired, our Safe payment system is the best way to ensure all payments are available while working on each milestone of the project. providers have the right to request payment deposits on the Safe payment system while working on the milestones associated with them. The provider has the right to request a release once every milestone is delivered, reviewed and approved.

Who will have rights over the source code of the apps created on AppFutura?

Any source code or files associated to a project created through the AppFutura Safe payment system will be property of the Project Owner. The Project Owner has the right to request the latest updated source code at any point of the development process and the provider must provide it. In any case, the providers will provide the final source code when the project is completed.

Can I bring clients to the Safe payment system on AppFutura?

Yes. You have the figure of ‘Private Projects’. As an IT or marketing company, you can post a ‘Private Project’ from your dashboard, inviting the client to take control of it. Once the client does, this is handled like any other projects through the safe payment options with a discounted fee.

The fees for Private Projects on the safe payment system are variable: 4% for Silver, Gold and Platinum sponsors; 7% for Bronze sponsors and 10% for Regular users.

What’s the benefit of using the Safe payment system?

It’s a good way for you to have better control of the payments available for the project. The resulting reviews are also more relevant on your profile and constitute an important part of our unique methodology.
